What Dose Trump doesn't like about The Study Supper Club:
They need to study on how to cook a steak. I paid $37 on a 12 Oz. Queen cut Prime rib. Menu says $16, they said that 's not the market price.... I wouldn 't have paid $10. I told them about it and they guy was cool about it but his offer was to give us another one to take home. I probably would have if I had a dog. All the other food was good. Great food, great atmosphere, our waitress was friendly and a perfect mix of attentive while not being smothering. I had the prime rib, which was cooked to perfection. Will definitely be back.
Absolutely loved this place! I ordered the filet mignon with the sauce and it was delish! I got the corn as a side and it had a great Mexican twist. Our whole table ordered martinis and we all loved them especially the blue cheese olives! The smotheredchicken was also a huge hit! The only thing I would change would be to serve a leafy green for the salad instead of iceberg. Theambiance was amazing and the service was great! Best restaurant in the area!
Well, it took 15 mins to get out drinks. I ordered a paloma. Instead I got a cosmopolitan. 10 mins later our food comes?I had ordered their $45 steak. Both of the dishes we ordered came with soup and salad. We didn?t get the soup/salad. Server comes toask if we got our soup/salad, we tell her no. She proceeds to say the kitchen messed up. She goes to get our soup/salad. Wedrink our drinks and eat the food. We are all almost done, when a woman comes over to our table stating she is the owner. Sheapologizes for the soup/salad mix up in the kitchen; ?the kitchen likes to get trashed at closing? so orders get mixed up. Wetell her it?s ok but we want our check. But no, she insists on getting the salad and the soup ?this is my restaurant and I wouldnot want you two to have a bad experience? So, off she went into the kitchen?.. We finish our drinks. The infamous salad andsoup still missing. The server drops off the check. We want to pay and leave. The total was a $69.80, we put a $100 down. Servercame to pick it up. Then we watched the server and the owner at the bar be oblivious to us. They chatted with the guests at thebar. The other servers/workers had sat down and were socializing with what I assume are regulars. Finally after 20 mins we gotour change. We tipped 15% and left. In conclusion, unless you know any of the owners or workers personally, expect a lacklusterdinning experience. Please spend your hard earned money at a nice place?like Burger King.
The atmosphere was just amazing! Cozy and romantic! Their stuffed shrimp was so delicious! Succulent! I had their chowder soup and it was to die for! Then the Prime Rib. I've never had beef that melts in your mouth. Absolutely delicious! For drinks, I hadthe Study Mule and it was excellent! I definitely recommend this place!
This is a fantastic little supper club. After a day of hiking we were tired and hungry. They do not take reservations but on a Thursday night we walked right in and were greeted by the owner at the bar. The place is quaint, cozy and makes you feel rightat home. The service was excellent. Our smiling, friendly waitress informed us of the specials. We started with the homemadetomato soup, which was fantastic. My husband ordered blackened mahi-mahi and I ordered the Ahi tuna. Both meals were preparedjust right and came out piping hot. Next time I?m there I?ll order a steak?they looked fantastic! After our meal we had aconversation with the owner who took the time to share the history of The Study. The next time we are in the area, we will besure to stop in. I highly recommend. What a gem!
