Came here for lunch and got a salad. It was okay except for a couple of things. Lettuce was room temperature and I thought it should have been chilled. That’s a big no no in my opinion. It had pecans on it. The menu said toasted but I don’t believe they were. They tasted like they came straight out of the package. Again, this was not good. The server was okay but appearance was quite disheveled. Also, had asked for a... View all feedback.
What Mike Cutler doesn't like about Edgar's Steakhouse:
This was a poor excuse for a steakhouse. Waitress was slow, not informed and lacked follow up for keeping drinks filled. The food was bland and appeared poorly prepared. Instant potatoes and watery gravy, over cooked baked potatoes were the worst. The atmosphere is from 1970 complete with black concrete floor and an undecorated Christmas tree sitting in the corner . The pricing is reasonable if you were getting quali... View all feedback.
If you're already there for a round of golf, I guess it's the closest good option, but really, get in your car and go somewhere. I have not had such a poor piece of steak served to me by a prefessional cook or chef of any sort at any place that I can recall cafeteria level meat. Lots of inattention to detail throughout, e.g., failure to bring sides out w the main course, bread with pretensions to artisan status that just fails to be any good at all. Thoroughly disappointing, not to be repeated.
Our waitress was amazing and she went above and beyond to make sure that everything was perfect for us.
We were here for the weekend and I must say that this was the best food that I tasted on the whole trip. The drinks were great. Our waitress was new, but she was awesome. This lady showed us where the entrance was then told us we won't be disappointed. To ourselves we were saying you would say that because you are a local ? but she was absolutely correct! I highly recommend anyone passing through to stop by this place and give it a try. If you live in the town haven't tried them out, then what are you waiting for? Now I'm the one saying you won't be disappointed ?
It was a birthday party a little girl there were 15 people and it was a little crowded chairs were close but besides thst it was awesome
We enjoyed our dinner at Edgar’s Steakhouse in a recent weekend trip to Laurel. The ambiance leaves something to be desired, so really I wasn’t expecting much from the food. However, the food surpassed my expectations and was a delicious meal overall. My girlfriend’s filet (not pictured) was really good, as was the fried green tomatoes appetizer with shrimp, though I do wish they doubled the amount of tomatoes they give you. Even though we were both stuffed from dinner, all their desserts sounded good so we chose two of them instead of splitting one, and I’m glad we did. Both desserts were excellent! I can’t say I’ll ever be back to Laurel on a trip, but if I do I will definitely eat at Edgar’s again.
