The food at Isakaya has always been pretty good. Really like the succulent gyoza especially. Properly cooked veal liver. Black cod a stand out. But the service is frankly weird and shabby. The personalities of the waiting staff really shine through, so some are friendly...and others really off-hand, but it makes for a less than welcoming experience. never expected to find authentic good Japanese cuisine in a shopping center in lasalle. we had sushi sashimi cod tuna tataki and they were all fresh and tasty....
