We go to La Puente for our favorite dish, MEXICAN STYLE RIBS! The LA Puente in Layton has perfected the Mexican Style Ribs. What Jack R doesn't like about La Puente Mexican:
Burrito was mostly tortilla. Chile verde (Spanish for “red” , was not red at all and lacked sufficient heat and flavor. Salsa was mostly tomato sauce with no real heat or tang. Whole beans were over cooked and mushy. This is not authentic New Mexican cuisine and the founder had not lived in New Mexico since 1957 according to their history printed on the back of the menu.
