"We called into this restaurant as a “walk in” on a Friday night and were extremely lucky that they were able to accommodate us. Please book it is worth it. I have never seen such a hardworking and efficient group of waiting staff. It was very busy but we were served quickly and the food was delicious. Would certainly recommend."

"Decided to order a takeaway from here as a treat and I never will again. The curry's consisted of massive chunks of meat with watery, flavourless sauce, the chips were greasy as hell and although the naan bread had tons of cheese in, I...don't know what cheap brand they used as it was still flavourless."

"I went shopping this morning only to find M&S was closed as it’s Easter Sunday, amateur mistake on my part. Wanting a Sunday roast I thought of Playwrights, I was hoping they would be open for deliveries and thankfully they were. I have dined in at Playwrights on a few occasions pre-lockdown and I have always enjoyed the food. I have also seen pictures on social media from friends who have had a home delivery and it always looks lovely. The food arrived within the time slot I was given when I ordered it. The presentation was lovely. I had roast beef, the good lady had chicken and our son had a kids chicken meal. The food was fabulous. I couldn’t fault it in any way. I highly recommend Playwrights. Thank you to all the staff for an excellent service."

"That was our first time “. Explained by certain items and the food was served quickly and was delicious. The Turkish tea and the baklava was the highlight and the staff are really friendly. One suggestion is that the sauces are served in bags that I found uncomfortable"
