The service and food were excellent as usual! I had a delicious protein omelet with spinach, mushrooms, bacon, and Swiss cheese. My friend ordered pancakes with eggs and bacon with a side of hashbrowns. The food was a bit on the warm side, which we assumed was because they were trying to conserve energy. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Mouton's Southern Bistro:
The service was satisfactory and the food was alright, but we visited about 2 hours after the restaurant opened and the restroom was extremely dirty. It really turned me off and made me question the overall cleanliness of the place. My wife commented on the mildew smell and stained walls. It was a small establishment with only one bathroom, so keeping it clean shouldn't have been a difficult task. When you own a rest... View all feedback.
I ate there for the first time recently and I really loved the menu. I had the fried pork chop with spicy Cajun Cream Corn. The service was good, but this place is laid back. It's definitely not fast food but everything was great.
I really liked Mouton's. The menu is fantastic. I'm from the Cajun Country, and their food is excellent. Don't go there expecting quick in and quick out. The wait staff is great, but they move at a southern pace. That's not a bad thing, you get to enjoy a beverage, coffee, tea, or something a bit stronger, with whoever you went to eat with before you get served.
I love this restaurant and I'll tell you exactly why:1. Family oriented staff and environment2. Food is incredible (strongly recommend the mouton hush puppies)3. Service is timely and wait staff are genuine4. Cocktails are well balanced, delicious and priced well.I highly recommend eating/socializing here
Great cajun cuisine. Try the Gator Po Boy sandwich. Yummy.
The first time at Mouton’s and surely impressed! the portions are large and inexpensive. I ordered the cats jambalaya think it would be a small piece of cats, it is a complete filet! also comes up with some garnelen étouffée. the woman has the new Orleans franchise toast and the young one has a pancake. I also had the gator po young, it was good, and I recommend although trying to try other husk options in the future. Oh yes, don't forget the bourbon street **** mary! we ate outside what was nice, service was prompt and friendly. overall highly recommended
