"Disappointing. The menu was very small and when we arrived at 20.30 on Saturday some of the dishes were not available so not much choice left. One of us was coeliac and only a few dishes were available for them so even less choice. We asked for two small beers. Were told that they only had two left and then no more. And the beers served to us were not small but 500ml. We would have only asked for one and shared had we been properly advised. Then ordered wine from the wine list but our choice was not available and again we were not advised but brought a substitute that was not the same. The dining area is very small and our table meant that one of us was looking at a wall and bookshelf so not the best atmospheric experience either. Getting to the very small toilet is a challenge and not a good experience when you arrive. Therefore we will not be returning. There are many better restaurants in Leeds."

"I love this restaurant for many reasons, I'm a foodie and only like going out out to eat if the food is great and good value. The staff are wonderful, friendly and attentive. Great place to enjoy lovely traditional persian home cooking and have a good catch up with friends, the menu is great and you can have a true feast without harming your pocket. All my family and friends love it, we had my mums 70th there and the staff couldn't have been more flexible and engaging to meet all our requests, couldn't recommend Darvish enough."

"Are you looking for a restaurant in leeds to celebrate their important occasions? do not look further “The oxford Place” in leeds is their first choice! we have booked a table for our jubilee. we had such a fantastic meal. the atmosphere was beautiful, and the food was divine, and the service was attentive. the price was also reasonable. we have spent 50 pfunds each. we ordered Moroccan style yorkshire lamb meatballs with tzatziki and bronze fennel, shetlands mustels with halloten, garlic, white wine and cream, slowly boiled belly pork with baked apples, celeriac puree, crackling, and red wine jus, signature 60 days salt old 10oz yorkshire finest ‘Galloway Belt’"

"What a great way to end our first day in york. as we had already eaten a full meal during the day, we were just looking for some light to eat and a refreshing glass or two rose’ it is not the cheapest, but definitely worth the visit and we will be back soon. an excellent table outside on the deck with views of the river, served by amazing friendly staff, thank you."
