The Fox and Newt is a traditional Real Ale pub with its own microbrewery in the cellar. Originally built as the Rutland Hotel, it now serves as a solid real ale house with contemporary additions. We have grown to become an established pub with a great food menu, including lunchtime meals, pub classics like our own beer battered fish and chips, steaks, a popular grill menu, and our famous Safari Burgers featuring exotic meats such as Crocodile, Kobe, Kangaroo, and more. Additionally, we offer a live music venue hosting a variety of gig nights from Cabaret to Jazz to Punk. Our strong affiliation with Leeds CAMRA and our homebrewed beers 'The Burley Street Brewhouse' continue to flourish.

We've been coming here for years and is my favorite public in Leeds. The food is delicious and very affordable for homemade foods. What Toby H doesn't like about The Fox And Newt:
Worst Sunday roast I've ever had in my life. The “giant” Yorkshire pudding you can get for an extra £2 is tiny and leaves you with less food than if you were to get a normal roast as they try to fit the whole roast inside the Yorkshire. Really great pub very friendly staff good food and well worth a visit
