It was here for lunch today. Great restaurant. Friendly and attentive employees. The map offers something for everyone and the daily offer was delicious. For the terrace it was unfortunately too windy... but it is also October. The prices are good. View all feedback.
What Jonathan Senger doesn't like about Trattoria Aurelia Am Zoo:
View all feedback.
This is a pleasant neighbourhood Italian restaurant the kind you would be glad to have in your street. It doesn’t pretend to be anything fancy but the food was very good and the service was friendly. Can’t ask for more.
The food was very good and we really enjoy it. We did not really enjoy the rudeness of our waiter. making face when we asked to pay separately. Wine delivered after the appetizers were done.
Great food, really splendid and real italian. A little bit away from the center but definitely worth a visit. Very friendly staff, a cosy and romantic ouside terrace with about tables. We really love it. We had linguine contadina and linguine de la casa...and both dishes were delicious.
In I found a trattoria in a village near Milan’s main airport, Malpensa, whose owners banned smoking in the dining room. I thought, “These people care about food!”, and it was so. The food, atmosphere, and service were fantastic. I regret that I cannot...say the same things about Ristorante Trattoria Aurelia (RTA). Although there was a blackboard outside RTA warning customers that service would be slow because Chef Roberto prepares all food from fresh ingredients, the members of my party and I decided that Chef Roberto must have had to chase a chicken around the pen for a while to justify the more than two hours it took our meals to arrive. When they did arrive, the food was just ordinary. I was able to improve mine a little with salt and pepper, although I had to chip this latter from the inside of the pepper-pot lid (no pepper mill) with my knife. And although we dined in the dining room to escape the smokers on the terrace it was to no avail. The doors to the terrace were wide open so we were in a smoky atmosphere for all our unexpectedly and undesirably long stay. I will not be coming back.
The trattoria is located right across from the zoo. It lies right on the river Parthe and is a perfect retreat with good food and drink. Service and atmosphere are friendly.
