"We had a fantastic meal at The Oarsman. I recommend booking ahead as very popular. Greeted by very friendly staff and shown to our table upstairs. A lovely setting. Meal was excellent and so tasty. Lovely wine too. Staff are brilliant and very attentive. A shout out to Mike and Anena (sorry, if spelt wrong). Also to John the musician. Absolutely brilliant and such lovely music. We loved it. We highly recommend."

"Right across from an Italian restaurant upstairs you will find this smashing Chinese restaurant. What really stood out here for us from start to finish was the star service. To say anything less of the attention to our experience would be unfair. Our server...was so professional while being almost invisible at the same time. As for the meal both of us were very happy with our traditional choices from the menu. Big thumbs up. Not the cheapest, but worth it in my opinion if you want a break from pub grub."

"I will start with the good. Very clean and fresh hotel. Room nice and warm. Clean and comfortable bed, clean room. Staff need more training. On arrival at hotel we had to look for reception. When we approached the bar to check in we were not told that there would be building and banging going on for the duration of our stay. The guests made lots off noise going to rooms at night. It was difficult to get to sleep. The bathroom was laid out poorly toilet too close to near wall. A grown man has to squeeze past. Funny smell coming from dated shower. Bathroom needs modernisation. For Breakfast every morning of our stay the young staff got our order wrong. They were running around without taking proper order. Rashers under cooked for my pregnant wife. Went down for evening meal, they had half the bar reserved and had not allowed enough seating for the guests. €50.00 for 2 fish and chips a bit pricey. They made my pregnant wife sit at the bar."

"A nice relaxed, real tradition Irish pub without need for stags or chickens. a refreshing change in comparison to the rest of the cities crawling and nightlife, which is designed only for crows of young and girls on a haze at night. Nowhere in Carrick professions native, especially family! cryans does and his refreshment to be able to go, be greeted and feel like a family without printing."
