Wow! We have been here on several occasions and enjoyed the amazing gelato. Earlier this week I ordered a gelato cake for the first time and the cake wasn't ready yet. Ok I was driving thru chicago and we looked for a gelato shop, this place looked awesome. But they were closed and for rent. I drove out of the way and their website and Google never mentioned being out of business. This blows... View all feedback.

"It had been a few years since we were in Zocalo, but it was as good as we remembered it to be. There were still some favorites on the menu, but also some new dishes, and they didn't disappoint. This is the only menu among many in Charlottesville that is really different and exciting. I had the duck breast cooked perfectly and accompanied by a great sauce, braised chard and an onion manchego bread pudding, and my wife loved her salmon. My starter, the tuna tartar, was too heavenly and had a healthy kick. Highly recommended!"
