This was our first time dining at the Bum Steer. We both ordered chicken dinners and shared. One was the special, which was a chicken sandwich (grilled or crispy) with waffle fries and the other was the chicken strip melt. Our favorite was the chicken strip melt because of the breading which was light, crispy and flakey. The chocolate malt was a nice finish! View all feedback.

"What a fantastic experience! The menu options and weinlist were well rounded and offers creative, elegant options at a fair price. our server mel was absolutely beautiful. reasonable attentive and friendly. her assistent andrew also wonderful. American wagyu filet and bison were perfectly boiled and quality far exceeded any other restaurant we were for reference, we have traveled far to large cities such as la, san francisco, ny, orlando, etc. the sides were also delicious- had mais, Brussels spears and forbidden rice. So we wished a restaurant like morries in orlando. chains like ruth chris, flemmings, mortons kumpel in comparison. we go out of our way to stop in sioux if on future road trips, just to return to this precious stone. Thank you!"

"My wife and I went to eat there for the first time. We wanted authentic Midwest BBQ. Service was good, food was mediocre. I got a double meat platter with the brisket and smoked wings. The wings were dry and tough and the brisket had no flavor. I could tell that there was no rub put on any of the meat prior to cooking. And the brisket wasn't tender it was more of a flavorless brisket slice of meat that was thinly cut and too much for the asking price. My wife got an au jus sandwich and it lacked flavor as well. The best thing about the over priced meal was a toss up between the fountain lemonade and the generic steak French fries. We paid nearly $60 and we could have eaten somewhere closer to home.All in all I am convinced that all the restaurants in sioux falls have never heard of the term flavor because this was the umpteenth establishment my wife and I went to and we were yet again disappointed with the food and lack of seasoning."
