When skiing we might drop in here for a drink and sometimes a bite to eat generally a great atmosphere due to the 80's music rocking out : however service can be so so and if it's not sunny and nice then it sucks to sit outside. For lunches/bigger meals we'll typically go to other mountain restaurants. View all feedback.

This place is great for having a drink. Super for beginners; they can practice on bottom slopes or Blue ones and meet here. But ... Outdoors better than in and indoors very limited book if you are more than 2 Food is very average indeed think school lunch canteen stuff. Ribs and french fries are the notable exception To get more for your money, go up to Alp Lavoz or for sun and greta food, Motta Hütta on other side of valley
Being frequently in Lenzerheide I believe I am qualified to rate the gastronomy in the region. The tenant who runs Avant Clavo, Thomas Blaesi, lacks the respect towards his guests on several occasions. The rather challenging tourism environment in the Swiss mountains does not allow for misfit hosts. Our party has been kicked out of that place after running a bill of roughly CHF 600 with the sloppy comment that our group did not consume sufficiently! The host has got a drinking problem and is unbearable. I therefore can not recommend Avant Clavo as long as Thomas is running the place.
Having returned for a second year to Lenzerheide, the Avant Clavo mountainside bar and restaurant is a must stop destination for skiers and walkers alike. The host and his team, yet again, give a warm, lively welcome to all; whilst serving great food and the music further adds to the ambience of this venue.
Die Hütte ist der absolute Wahnsinn...!! Das Ambiente ist wunderschön. Das Fondue war genial und der Gastgeber ein Unikat. Wir verbrachten einen super Abend im Avant Clavo und es war bestimmt nicht der letzte.
Immer wieder! Schnelles und gutes Essen auf der Piste. Der Service ist super schnell und die Küche liefert eine gute Qualität. Preis / Leistung past. Die Terrasse ist super aber durch den tiefen Sonnenstand im Januar sehr kalt. Wir freuen und schon wieder auf den Februar in der **** Terrasse;-)
