We found this beautiful place with a pure chance as we drove to our next destination. What a wonderful place to stop and treat the best waffles with the most decadent toppings. We were made to feel incredibly welcome and were offered a tasting of their famous Cherry Liquor on arrival. What User doesn't like about Ionia Cherry Farm:
From a previous 4 star to a 1. What a disappointment, quality is bad, cherries are already rotten. Tried to buy 2 ice-creams, R60 fair enough but have to buy tickets and they cost either R50 or R100 no in between. They have grown too big to care about their customers. Nice, peaceful, quiet. Yummie eats and drinks and you feel free to visit with the little ones. All kinds of different things to taste and buy from cherries.
Very nice experience well worth it (during the Cherry Festival). They had a number of stalls a selling an interesting variety of goods from clothing and soaps to sauces and sweets. The venue/farm also has a shop selling fresh cherries and a number of cherry products. The food available was divine and made choice very difficult. It was the ordinary with a twist. Those iinterested, can do a tour around the farm and pick their own cherries. There is some entertainment for kids but this is more suited for adults with the emphasis on the best entertainers performing at night. Camping available for those that want to stay for the weekend. At any other time of year it would be worth a visit if you are in the area.

Beautiful views. However products are super expensive… definitely catering more for international tourists.
