"The restaurant came highly recommended and was beautiful inside. Intimate. The Maitre D (owner? was not warm or welcoming but perfectly polite. I was taken aback when he reprimanded my partner John for putting his mussel shells on the charger plate rather than the lid of the serving pot. The mussels were fresh and delicious but over salted. My tuna tarter with “crispy vegetables” was of good quality and presented prettily but a little bland. I expected some cooked tempura type vegetables but was disappointed to not have anything on the plate that delivered to that description. Johns lobster with long thin pasta was very good as was my tuna and crayfish carbonara. The Greco di Tufo Wine was excellent but we had to ask for an ice bucket/chiller. I was hugely disappointed by my almond soufflé it was a cold dessert with too much marzipan and sugar and not the soufflé I had been expecting. The Maitre D completely ignored my virtually untouched plate and did not ask me about it. The bill came and included the dessert and still no mention about the untouched dessert. I raised the issue and this was reluctantly removed from the bill. The final bill was 107 euros . We left feeling dissatisfied with our dining experience. A shame to say the least."
