Driving from the castles to Mittenwald, our next Alpine destination, we stopped for a night 's rest in between. Arriving as the town was shutting down for the night we happened upon a friendly hotel in Lermoos. We didn 't even realize we 'd crossed the boarder into Austria until the staff told us.
