"The food is fantastic and the service is very good; definitely a cut above the service just about anywhere else in France. BE SURE to get reservations in advance, as they were booked for the full week we were here; we only got in because there was a cancellation. We recommended the “Menu Gourmand” with 4 courses for a delightful evening of fine dining. My partner, who must eat gluten-free, easily and seamlessly ordered food without worry about what she could have. You will not be disappointed if you choose to dine at La Belle Etoile!"

"This place was recommended by the owner of the gite nearby and she was absolutely right in doing so - the best meal we've had in the 10 days we've been here! The service was friendly and impeccable and the food superb. I had the best, most moist duck confit I've ever had. The set meal was a bargain and worth far more than I paid. My friends ordered a la carte so we sampled the menu extensively. Everyone agreed the meal was exceptional. Do not miss the dessert course. The chef is a former pastry chef. Ample free parking."

"I thought the interior was a little nicer than i expected from the TA reviews, and the outside looked nice, but the ground was soft and it was difficult to keep from sinking the little metal folding chair legs into the dirt floor. No big...deal, but not great. The service was friendly. The food was a little lacking. We were 3 people, we shared lobster roll for appetizer, i think $32 euro, which was served cold, had a really good flavor. One had tuna, that was supposed to be seared rare. It was a pretty good size portion, but was cooked at least an inch into the meat, leaving the outside of it dry like canned tuna and very little pink meat inside. The other 2 of us had the shrimp/Gambia’s w/ tagliatelle, and thought that they brought the wrong dish because you could not see the pasta. Maybe 10 thin noodles. It actually could have been one long noodle. It was more of a salad than anything. I didnt take a picture, but i see that someone else has on their review. It had a good flavor, but not much to it. We had one bottle of wine, a Bergerac that was good, but did not stay for desserts. We had considered booking our hotel, the Cro Magnon(see review) to include dinner and wished we had."
