"This small and intimate restaurant run by husband and wife dream team, Pau and Annette, is consistently outstanding with a menu that is innovative and cutting edge. Book in advance or be prepared for disappointment. The food is fresh, creative, delicious and arrives, like art...on a plate, highlighting and honouring the best ingredients the region has to offer. We were wowed by the prawn carpaccio and salted cod starters, flabbergasted by the foie gras paired with cocoa, delighted with the octopus and egg and pork belly and scallops. The wine expertly recommended by Anette went so well with the food and we were also tantalised by our desserts (remember to make room for these). I loved the tastes of hazelnut several ways with kefir and my husband was delighted with his delicious chocolate and salted caramel fondant. Each serve is a half serve so you can have lots of fun sharing and you get to try lots of the wonderful flavours (I was sceptical that some would work but like a heavenly revelation they all do All I can say is that this restaurant really is the very BEST place to eat in L’escala thank you Pau and Anette we look forward to our next visit !"
