What Cassie W doesn't like about The Penny Coffee House:
After my friend and I had spent over 50$ on breakfast and drinks while we studied at one of our usual study spots, we were ordered by the barista to move to either the bar (where you stand wait for your stuff) or a smaller table (clearly not big enough for two laptops). I ended up putting my drink in a to-go cup and we packed up for a more welcoming space. I understand needing turn over, or politely asking us if we w... View all feedback.
This place is seriously a little Taste of Heaven. I had the privilege of both working here for years and being a customer. Its an amazing environment. You are greeted at the door , the employees treat you like your their best friends, and Eileen the owner is amazing. The food is good home cooked food. It is worth every Penny you spend and more. I highly recommend going in and having one of their sandwich's, the pasta salad is out of this world and the baking is fresh and delicious . If you have not tried this place out yet go NOW you wont regret it !
This is the first time I've been into The Penny in a couple years. I forgot how yummy and homey the food is here! Warm cozy atmosphere, delicious food, friendly staff and beautiful art!
It is always a pleasure to stop into the Penny! The Bakewell Tart is my most favourite treat, but if you don't share my superhuman tolerance for sweetness in a dessert, I recommend a London Fog Cupcake. Once, maybe a year ago, I was given a gingerbread Penny that was really TWO cookies that had baked together into one wonderful SuperPenny. Best. Day. Ever.
Ive been coming here for years and it never fails to impress! Its been amazing to watch this business grow, but still stay true to its small town cafe roots.
Holy busy! Tables filled faster than they emptied (but that's a good thing). If you can get a table, this place has fantastic coffee. My macchiato was perfect. Comes with WiFi, a place to plug in, and terrific service. Would love to see you guys get a bigger space and couches to enjoy. A Lethbridge gem in my opinion.
