If you want to experience one of the best bagels in New York, you need to stop here. The quality of food is absolutely some of the best I ever had. Staff at work so hard to ensure that your orders are assembled not only completely but quickly. View all feedback.
What Sean Hermanowski doesn't like about Bageltown Of Levittown:
Just got breakfast from bagel town. It?s thanksgiving morning and they?re busy but everyone had an amazing attitude and A smile on their face ready to help. My bacon egg and cheese on a bagel came out flawless and was one of the better breakfast sandwichesI?ve had this year. I?m tempted to go back and get another one. View all feedback.
It 's been 10 years since I 've lived in the area. When we lived in Levittown, this was our bagel spot. It was everyone 's bagel spot. My cousin who has lived in Oceanside for the past 10 years told me about this bagel spot. This was THE SPOT. That was many moons ago and since that time, I 've moved quite a bit of a distance from this area. Every once in a while something would bring us here and we would reminisce about how at one time, these bagels weren 't too far away. A few weeks ago, I heard through the grapevine that there was new ownership, and how the bagels have changed. It was so upsetting that we wouldn 't be able to just pop in for one of our favorite bagels (just like our sporadic trips to the Calda 's in this area). Today, the hubs had to go to the watch guy at Tri-County because he needed batteries for some of his watches. He mentioned dropping by here and seeing if the new ownership rumors were true. And they were, but fret not because these bagels are amazing. He brought home a dozen and we 've been eating them all day. First, they were ginormous. Second, you can tell they were fresh. Lastly, they were just downright delicious! Very reminiscent of Brooklyn Bagel and my tv days. IYKYK Apparently the name will be changing shortly. I 'm sure I will be able to update you all as I see me making a visit sometime in the near future.
Been coming here for years. Had not been in a while, and went to get bagels and specialty cream cheese. First thing I noticed is that there was no line. There's ALWAYS a line here. Now I know why. Bagels terrible. Not bagels. Bread in the shape of a bagel. Tastes like supermarket bagels, NOT bagel place bagels. Specialty cream cheese terrible. My wife loved their jalapeno and cheddar cream cheese before they changed owners, and this had hardly any cheddar or jalapeno...I think she said there was 2 pieces of jalapeno in the CC. TWO. Service was ok, semed to take a long time to slice and put cream cheese on 2 bagels, and with it not being busy, no real reason for that. While there was enough cream cheese on both bagels (I got a french toast with regular CC) it's just not what it was at this place. How does someone take over a place beloved by so many and totally destroy it? All they had to do was keep things the same. We will not be going back. All I can say in conclusion is that if it has been a while since you have been to Bageltown, take my advice and stay away.
Review Tip: Bageltown of Levittown will gladly take your money if you are not a regular and sell you stale bagels. Go elsewhere. My Experience. I toyed with the idea of not posting a big fat zero, 1 star review, but the more I spoke about my experience the more upset I became and felt it warranted to express my views. I want a business to thrive, especially one that has been around for x amount of years. Plus, I have a conscience, and respect establishments with longevity. But Bageltown of Levittown does not have a conscience nor integrity and will gladly take your money and provide you with stale bagels, and a dozen+1 at that. I came here based on several recommendations from my Federal Officer friends and ended up being embarrassed serving these to my family. I previously gassed them up saying I'm arriving very early with fresh bagels for breakfast, only for it to be the exact opposite. Thankfully, Yelp has a platform where I can express my honest experience. I summed up my stale bagel encounter to me not being a regular. Why would they do that? What good does it do you or a new customer? Nobody wins. You get a zero 1 star review and I've wasted my time and money. I'm pissed thinking about it. I know it's just bagels, but it's a matter of principle as the product name is the main title of their business. My advice, Bageltown of Levittown please do better. I could keep going but I'll end it with a laugh. Ironically, one of my pics is featured on the front of their business page. Ha, funny. Note: If this review is removed I will repost.
This place is no longer bagel town of Levittown it's now called pantanos bagles every review you have read is true the bagles are like stale rocks at 6:30 am and 3.44 for a bagel with butter not worth the money don't waste your money like have go somewhere else this place will not be here long since they don't even make the bagles on site they ship them in from somewhere. I give this place zero stars worst ever
Things have changed and changed quickly! I miss the mom and pop nature of their food and business. Seems more commercialized now and smaller everything at higher prices. No onion pockets left by 9am? The only plus was that my bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel was ready in record time. It tasted great, a little saltier than usual and extra extra small bagel. Good luck to the new owners. There seem to be more options, better signage, faster service. I am not sure the value is still there for the prices. I will try some other places before coming back to this old favorite of mine.
