What appraisor likes about Cafe Du Jardin:
After a delightful walk around Lewes incorporating the old Priory, Anne of Cleaves owned property and the Castle, we walked down the high street and over the river and found this little gem, full of character and reasonably priced. It had been a very hot morning, so a shaded seat in the courtyard was most welcome. A large pot of tea was ordered together with a pain au chocolate and a piece of orange cake. Delightful.... The fish pie was of decent quality but the steak was not only very ordinary, and most unappetising in appearance, but accompanied by the most forlorn looking sad little side salad. Difficult to understand how such a dish could be served up! View all feedback.
