we visited rukhsana on Sunday to the birthday of my father. the host was very welcoming and well accommodated to our needs. decor is okay. but eating was nice and well enjoyed by all 11 guests including 2 children. my man said his huh. chilli masala was the best he tasted in all the restaurants he visited (which is much). I'm glad we went to tripadvisor thanks to the other reviews. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Rukhsana:
Stayed at a friend's and ordered takeaway. Great option of dishes with a wide menu and fantastic option to order dishes as either a side or main. Enjoyed my chilli potato side, then discovered our vegetarian samosas were in fact meat. My veg sambar tasted...really bland and looked exactly the same colour as the aloo gobi and the chilli potato so the food felt very generic to me, unfortunately. The meat eaters enjoyed... I visited this restaurant regularly until Christmas 2021. this was my first visit this year and the property has changed again! in the front part of the restaurant were three lights turned on, the light was bad, the heating was...ab and there was no music at all. the waiter' had difficultities in the first part of my order for 2 plain and 2 spicy poppadome and a bottle cobra, after several repeated accusations he finally got it right, except to try to give me 2 bottles cobra at the same time. I decided to skip the starter and chicken jalfrezi mushroom rice and okra ordered. the food came, but the waiter treated the plate with bare hands and not covered with a served cloth, while he got the food I used my bag sanitiser to wipe the plate where he put his thumb. the chicken was tasteless and was possibly boiled, in which the whole meal was tasteless. I paid the bill and went around 9.45 clock within about 1 minute of my leave the restaurant closed and the roller shutters were closed. this was a Saturday night and it seemed that I had been their only eating in the customer. I don't think they'll survive much longer. a great scandal that a beautiful restaurant with a hygiene rating of 5 seems to be on the way last year.
Great eating - best South Indian and Indian food that I had in the old, amazing people there saw us through. would it now more often visit there.

Good vegetarian options in a friendly local curry house. are generous, so we tend to go with a vegetable biryani with additional sides.
This restaurant is not in the most popular area of London and you would probably only go there you lived local. Inside the decor is nothing special but I did like the framed wooden art. Our family live nearby and have eaten there and had...quite a few takeaways and I have eaten there a couple of times when visiting. Six of us visited early evening as had 2 children in the party. The children made very welcome and I was pleased to see that child size portions were available of the more popular dishes. The meal was well cooked and really enjoyable. Had the poppadoms then the children had lemon chicken and a chicken tickka masala with pilau rice. We had a thali, biryanis and some side dishes which were served hot and without too long a wait. We had plenty to eat although one of the party only had a starter served at the same time as the main meal. Four us had dessert. We also had between us 2 cokes, 1 bottle white wine, 2 beers, 2 brandy’s and 2 baileys. The bill was just over £100 which I think was fantastic value. There were 2 staff in the restaurant at that time and both were helpful, especially the older gentleman who was a delight. I would recommend this restaurant for a tasty Indian meal
