I visited this restaurant for the first time and was impressed. The delivery was quick, the food was delicious, and I even received a discount on Uber Eats. The aloo, lamm biryani, and tandoori huhn were all tasty. The portion sizes were generous, so we had leftovers for lunch. Thank you! View all feedback.
What Robert Popa Emil doesn't like about The Raj:
Delivery was 30 minutes faster than stated which was good, food was hot. However, the chicken tikka masala only had 6 small pieces of chicken and had far too much coconut in it, it had a lot of coconut bits in the sauce and wasn’t very appetising, some may like this but it’s not how I expect a tikka masala to be. The lamb tikka was also very chewy. The rice and saag aloo were adequate. Overall 2/5 for food quality. View all feedback.

Unfortunately the food was barely warm. We had ordered our favourite prawn puree starters but what came was prawns in a bright red, coconut based sauce. Never had prawn puree like that. I can't eat coconut so I left mine. My partner discovered his main course, king prawn tikka masala, seemed to be the same or very similar red sauce as the starter. So essentially the only real difference between the starter and his main course was the size of prawns. We have had many prawn puree starters, from various restaurants, and have never had anything like these. It was very disappointing especially as we had nice meals previously from Raj, including normal prawn puree. If you can't trust what you order, it makes it difficult to justify future orders.
Enjoyed ordering from here in the past, but my madras this time wasn’t very good. Flavours were a bit disappointing so will get something else next time!
Unfortunately I asked for the lamb vindaloo to be more spicy and also and lamb naga but unfortunately it wasn’t the rest of the meal what we ordered was ok
First time using good food, arrived 20 mins early. Lots of chicken in the tikka masala. My only complaint is that I ordered and paid for a can of drink but did not receive it. Would use again.
