I had a bad experience at Taipei Gourmet so gave this place a shot. Overall it was pretty good with a few weird disappointments, mainly that the noodles for the lo mein and spicy beef noodle soup were very fettuccine-like?they were quite firm and not very tasty/appetizing compared to softer noodles. The braised pork was very good but only had 5 pieces of meat. The soup/juicy dumplings were also very good. read more.

What User doesn't like about Formosa Taipei:
Food was unappetizing our shrimp with garlic sauce was burned and had no taste of garlic. Very over priced. Our Scallion pancakes was tasteless and very greasy. Literally one Scallops in the happy meal. Can't compare to the great wall in Bedford. Better off go there. read more.

"Enjoyed the food but underwhelmed considering the hype of the restaurant. We were seated at at the bar overlooking the kitchen which was interesting viewing, but we were served from behind which was awkward and there wasn't much room for all the small plates. The corn bread was delicious! We also had the fresh catch (red snapper that day) which was pretty good and the butternut squash ravioli. The lamb osso bucco (giouvetti) had a weird cut of meat. Overall it was good but not amazing."
