"First time trying out Kenny’s and we loved it! Fried chicken was delish!!! Honey biscuits were so yummy, the fries were perfectly crunchy and seasoned, and even the sweet tea was on point! "We were there after the lunch rush and were the only ones eating. The food was delicious and our waitress was terrific. Since we were the only ones there, the waitress was free to chat with us which was a lot of fun. We had eaten there a couple of years ago during the lunch rush and other than being very noisy the food and service was excellent. Parking: Parking on the street in Lexington can get tight during lunch and dinner times but can usually be found within a short walk from your destination. Wheelchair accessibility: Depends mainly on parking availability. Entrance is at street level. Main dining room is two steps down but there is also seating in the bar area with no steps."

"My wife and I rarely dine out and it is rarer still that we splurge on an up-scale restaurant like the Southern Inn, but we were celebrating our 53rd wedding anniversary, so we did. For this occasion and at those prices we hoped for a perfect experience but didn't get it. I tried to use the table selection option when making the reservations on OpenTable, but that function didn't seem to be working (yeah, I'm old, but still pretty computer literate), so we were assigned to a table in the area right next to the bar. The noise level at first was OK, otherwise I would have asked for a different table. But soon the Friday-evening crowd in the bar got warmed up and conversation for the rest of our meal became difficult; frustrating when one is trying for a quiet evening out. That background noise may have contributed to my other complaint. I ordered the salmon special and the waitress asked about my preference for how it was to be cooked. I specified that I wanted it cooked all the way through, but it is possible that didn't come through because of the background noise because when served the salmon was raw in the middle. I probably should have sent it back, but not wanting to embarrass my wife, just ate the 2/3 that was cooked through and left the other, raw, 1/3. So I guess that was about $10 worth I didn't eat. My wife didn't get an entrée, just the fried green tomato appetizer, which she enjoyed thoroughly. We also had the calamari appetizer which was average. So yeah, I'd recommend Southern Inn to a friend, but with some definite caveats, and for us we will probably go elsewhere for our next up-scale dinner out...in about 53 years."

"The food was quick, the servers were attentive and the servings were huge. The restaurant seemed clean; however, they were down to one toilet in the men's room, and in all honesty... they seriously need to upgrade the chairs din the dining area. Ridiculous that they haven't fixed the rather large sinks of cushion in over a year. Siiigh... Three stars because of the chairs. Otherwise, considering the area, it's really not bad to dine. So 3 1/2 to 4 stars."
