"Lexington is a city of good eating. Good restaurants everywhere. But this is different. Hands down the best barbecue this side of Nashville. Polite helpful service, comfortable down to earth atmosphere, but the very best BBQ I've *ever had. I can't believe it took me this long to eat here. I frequently take my little Yorkie to Feeders Pet Supply to wash him and always meant to stop in City Barbeque. But they even gave me a little complimentary bowl of pulled pork for my pup ? ?... great ppl as good as the food!"

"What’s not to love about this gem in Lexington! Maria is the most gracious host and her food amazing! As a pescatarian it’s often hard to find delicious choices, but I did here! The tamale masa is so light and fluffy. I had the Poblano Cheese and Jalapeño Bean tamales along with the Shrimp Cocktail. Be adventurous, take a chance and you won’t be disappointed!"

"Five young guys were great as ever. it looks so, no matter where eating is always cooked to perfection. that means a lot when they have to do with a whole beef papty! I am very picky about my burger and I am new to kentucky, so I asked the man who took my order when he can cook my patty very well. he assured me everything was cooked well. I asked if he could make sure that my food is cooked very well. he said you mean like a crab patty? I stopped a moment and had to think about it before I just said yes, I told him you had me, but yes, we both laughed. he assured me that the burger will be delicious and that I really like it. he was so right. I had nothing to fear. the burger was very well cooked and the taste was so good! many thanks to five youngs for the quality at every place I have ever visited!"
