The room wasn't luxurious, but was quiet and comfortable. The welcome was good, and the receptionist carried my case up the stairs, which helped as I am disabled. I already knew the adjoining pub had closed down, which meant no bedtime beer, which would have been good. However, for breakfast I was offered porridge, which helped. On our visit the pub that is supposed to serve food was closed and had been for a while. No notification to this fact prior to arrival. No breakfast either. Young lady on reception was very apologetic and helpful. List of food services were given and we chose the Waterfront just up the road. Fabulous setting next to the water. "After having been locked up by the family at university for some weeks, I was looking forward to spending nye with my loved ones. unfortunately we made the mistake to order our food from the marigold. not only the food lasted hours to arrive...if it finally came (after calling the restaurant twice) most of it was missing! even the food that arrived was terrible and cold. I have never experienced a worse take in my life. I urge everyone to read this review to stay well over this restaurant."

"I would never have heard of the littleton before my friend recommend that we go to my birthday dinner and I am so glad that we did. it seemed strange that it was part of the college, but when they are inside, they totally forget that. it was such a beautiful little place with a beautiful atmosphere, fantastic service and eating was simply incredible. we are a bit bite, but when that was eating there, everything you could hear was a lot of happy sigh around the table. Excellent price-performance ratio...still shocked at the quality of the food for the price. And a personal thank you that I feel special by writing happy birthday in chocolate on my dessert teller. many thanks for a beautiful evening, will definitely come back x"
