Stayed here one night before starting our trekking around hills of Vosges. The hotel is very unique, maybe a little dated for some. However we found it quaint, very clean and well kept. The attentive staff were very pleasant. The piece de resistance of this place though really is the owners cooking. Her homemade (traditional Alsace) food was mouthwatering. What Nicole Hoareau doesn't like about Auberge Aux Deux Clefs:
Situé à Lièpvre direction route de Rombach-le franc .Visite possible en famille ou entre amis des mines du val d'argent à Ste Marie-Aux Mines.Restaurant convivial accueillant ,repas simple mais bon, prix raisonnable . View all feedback.
The hotel is in a quiet small French town. From the outside the hotel is very nice. On the inside it needs a renovation. The rooms are small and need some reworking. OK for 1 or 2 nights but not for longer. Breakfast is OK.
We stayed in the hotel, and we chose to eat every dinner but one in the restaurant because it was not absolutely delicious. The proprietor uses recipes handed down through generations, and every single bite I had at every meal was delicious. Casual place with beautiful food.
This is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is top notch. The menu varies daily. If you want a true taste of Alsacian food, this is the place. The wine pairings are from the region. The prices are very reasonable. You can book a room here that includes breakfast. It's off the beaten path and worth the visit.
We stayed a night in Liepvre on our way through les Vosges and were delighted to come across Auberge aux deux Clefs. We decided on the set dinner - all local food and receipes! We'll certainly return
Everything we tried was local Alsacian food and was excellent, the owner/chef is very friendly and makes amazing food. We'll come again.
