Oki Diner And Bakery - Lihue

We've been eating at the Oki Diner for 14 years and the food is always great. It's our favorite big breakfast spot and we also take out the plate lunches.

Best thing: Friendly waiter. Worst thing: food. Advertising the best pancakes on the Island we went with some expectation. However this was the worst breakfast on the Island. And over priced. Awful, awful, awful. Disgusting. I can't say it enough. Worst place. Go to Gaylords (also in Lihue) for breakfast, all you can eat for about the same price in a plantation setting. Wonderful experience. You have been warned!

Took us 8 years to discover this little hideaway, but once we did, it's a must do every year during our visit. They will not only rival, but far surpass your favorite pancake house. Don't be discouraged if they seem a lot browner than you expect.
