This restaurant has taken a lot of slack and I honestly dunno why. I spent two weeks in the Greek islands last summer and this place comes as close as you're gonna get to Greece in our Arctic weather. The food is fresh, honest and simple. This is the best place to come if you're a big group, they fill up your table with lots of small dishes (the waiter called it Meze), and even your main course can be put in the middle of the table for everyone to dive in. "Once a year, on my birthdate, I take myself to have a very special meal, sky's the limit. Unfortunately, I was not able to keep with my tradition during the periods that the restaurants were forced to close due to Covid. I made my list if where I was going to take myself and after reviewing their menu, this was where I decided upon. I've been here before (many years ago) and remembered it was top notch. I was not disappointed. Everything from the ambience, staff, service, food, presentation and room were esquisite. I was surprised that they all knew it was my birthday. I had 2 orders of their creme brulée and pan seared foie gras, then the magret de canard. I savored every bite! Thanks to everyone at Bonaparte, I had an awesome birthday!"
