"All across small town Canada you find Chinese Canadian cafes, and Totem is a great representation. Arrived with my family and ordered from the menu We had fried rice, totem chop suey and ginger beef. All the food was delicious, prices were good and was served by the owner with a smile. When my boy raced out of the restaurant to watch a train across the street he grinned from ear to ear. This place is not fancy, nor haute cuisine, but if you want to fill your belly after a day on the road it can't be beat."

"We dropped in to this café in need of a pick me up on a long drive from Penticton based on the good reviews we had read here. As it turned out we suffered through the worst coffee and muffin we had ever had. The muffin tasted buttery like a cake or scone. For the coffees we were so glad to see real coffee on the menu and not American filtered coffee, but it ended there. We both had cappuccinos and they were hard to swallow. One of them seemed to have a skin on the top and the milk tasted odd. Needless to say after a few swallows it was tossed on our way out. The staff seemed too busy to offer much service. Needless to say we were disappointed."
