"That's one of my favorite bars, time. I love the intimacy of the place. You had a bottle of a very special tequila (Clase azul reposado) that you can not easily find in Perú, so I had to. Tried their beyond burgers, not sold at many places either it was small but good... I definitely come back!"

"Was there for an extended business luncheon. Not a single constructive criticism I can give. From the breads/spreds, to the ceviche to the main course (had catrch of the day red snapper) to the chocloate covered tres leche for dessert, everything was tremendous. Will definitely be back there on my next visit."

"Visited here this evening, choice of beer was great and very much enjoyed the Panam pale ale but that is where it ends, we ordered a frenchie burger each and waited approx 45 minutes for food which when it arrived was very dry lacking flavour and very short on the blue cheese. The chips were wedges and far too many of them. This place really has potential but needs a good chef who can manage more than 1 meal at a time."

"We visited El Mercado for lunch on the last day of our trip to Peru. We had to book well and the restaurant was full. The location is beautiful and modern, a partly open space, but a bit loud. Service is friendly and welcoming, while very professional and efficient. At the beginning we shared a causa Limña, a delicious and well prepared traditional Peruvian dish. My wife had scallops, a total of 7, but prepared in different ways. All very good. I grilled octopus, which was also very good. My dessert, Tumbão, was original and tasty as my wife's cheesecake. At about 60 € per person including tip, it is definitely not cheap for Peru. But it is worth the money, and I do not hesitate to recommend El Mercado to those who want a nice culinary experience in Lima."
