"Cafe et chocolat is a small café in Miraflores -- as the name suggests, they have both coffee and chocolate, as well as a variety of other options. This café has a lot of potential, but some of the food could be improved. On my last visit, I ordered a caprese sandwich on focaccia, but the bread wasn't actually focaccia. They were also out of several menu items, including entire sections of the menu. Regardless, this is a nice spot for a coffee or a snack. The AC is a welcome respite in the middle of the Lima summer and the wifi works quite well."

Granted, it feels funny to walk in as though you were going into a casino, but the ambiance for the restaurant on the second floor is quite separate from the slot machines and private rooms and gives plenty of room to relax and have a good conversation. In terms of ordering, I go for a tasting sampler rather than for any given specific dish. The waiters are attentive and the location of the place make it a good choice amidst a very busy part of the financial district of Lima."
