I had the house special, double baked pumpkin spinat ricotta souffle with roast tomato sauce, parmesan and gluten-free brot. it is worth visiting only for this alone! it's crazy! the service here is always good, very friendly with smiles. it has a very pleasant look at the LINDFIELD village green. parking is also good, with a new garage. What User doesn't like about The Runaway Spoon:
wow, I know it was hard, I know that the cost is rising, but $15 for what was a bog standard speck and egg roll takes the p*s. the coffee was really good, but all up to 20 dollars is ridiculous. I'm sorry, young, but with my feet. View all feedback.
The food actually look quite presentable. Taste wise was ok, pretty standard cafe food. The service however was a bit amateur at best, at time was just lacking. Some staff just looked uncertain, or seems like they just don't know what need to be done. Wait for service is long, the table next to me waited for ages to get a menu, and then even longer for them to come to take order.
We come here all the time. Have tried most of the day and dinner menus. Terrific food but a bit short staffed at times. Winners for brunch: Belgian waffles, corn fritters. Dinner: chicken fuska, chilli salted squid and tacos. Only downside is pricing is a bit steep

I’ve tried a lot of fritters in my time, and these would have to rank as the worst. They were like a fried pancake with corn stirred through the doughy mixture. Very odd! We also ordered toast with a side of avocado. The toast was nice and good quality bread but the avocado serving was very mean. I’m not surprised this cafe was packed as...read more
For a local brunch spot this is great. Staff are lovely and the food cooked well. Just don't expect to be wowed, typical brunch options etc.
Great coffee and staff were friendly. Food was decent, but $27 for the coffee and two avocado toasts meant i left poor and hungry. Wouldn't dare try on a Sunday with extra surcharges.
