It is a funny and interesting place. A few number of restaurants in Lisbon still keep a decoration and style from the 70s. Sometimes it looks you are on a 007 movie, sharing the scene with Roger Moore or Sean Connery. Well, this a such place. Open during the late night and early morning, you can sneak in there and be served typical portuguese food at 3am for example. Just for this 3 points. And 1 extra for the reason... "The staff were really nice, they let us try the flavors and explained was the menu consisted of. I tried the donut sandwich with salted caramel, it was really good, although both flavors cancel each other out. Definitely will go back to try every other flavor."

"We had a really great experience at Avenew on a quiet Tuesday night. Our hosts were personable and helped make for a memorable evening. We started by splitting the octopus salad. It was wonderful with a glass of a local rose. My wife had the cod with the rose and I had the duck with a really nice red blend. Both of us were quite happy with these (as well as tastes of each other’s main). Dessert with a port was also great. We’ll be happy to come back again!"
