Awesome place to stop for a beer and meals that taste as good as they look, the chef does an amazing pork dish, totally recomend to anyone heading out that way

We fetched up here after a long drive looking for a good meal and a beer (or two). Great time watching The Super Rugby and eating bangers and mash.

"Great customer service. Fitted us in with good grace as we were without reservations on a busy night. The house cut chips are the best I’ve had anywhere… this is what chips are meant to be like. Please don’t change them. The tomato sauce used on chips, and the tomato sauce on the pizzas is crazy good. We loved our Mamaku pizza. This is relaxed dining done right. Lovely people, nice setting and high quality ingredients crafted into delicious food."

"Definitely our favorite food in Akaroa! We had the pani puri, butter chicken curry, and goat curry. All were excellent and very different the butter chicken was really creamy which balanced the spice of the goat curry. Our server Kamal was really friendly and shared that he is currently making the restaurant a new cocktail list based on his experience as a bartender in Dubai. We tried one with cherry and amaretto and it was perfectly sweet and delicious. Overall a lovely experience and would recommend to anyone visiting Akaroa. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: NZ$50–60 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Pani Puri, Butter Chicken"

"Had high expectations based on other 5star reviews. The bread entree was yummy, my husband and I both had the beef fillet mains. Not a lot of flavour and the seasonal veges were on the undercooked side but it was a good dish overall. The dessert for $17 was the tiniest lemon meringue tart with a stale pastry base. It said it came with meringue and lemon ice-cream but instead all it has was a dollop of cream which I can’t eat and wasn’t listed on the menu. I did voice my concerns about food not reflecting/including was was stated in the menu but was brushed off. Wouldn’t return in a hurry. The server was friendly and attentive."

"Lovely warm relaxed ambience. Green smoothie has spice heat and zing! So gooood! The risotto cake with unexpected side salad was delicious and the ginger nut crunch hit the sweet spot perfectly.
