One of the oldest pubs in Liverpool and used to hang John Lennon's where he started his first band called The Dissenters. I 'd been recommended this pub for its real ale, and wasn 't disappointed! It was like stepping back in time with its plain wooden floors, a few adverts on the walls, and I 'm told that there is still a spittoon although I didn 't see it.
