Lovely coffee and friendly service.A must visit when in Lobethal.Freshly ground coffee for every cup.Gelati is amazing and the German Bienenstech is a must.

Whilst riding through the hills we stopped in for some sustinence. This bakery has a great selection of pastries, pies, and breads.

"Nice warm atmosphere on a cold wet night. The menu was a little surprising as lots of items weren't traditional English grub. Salt & Lemon Pepper Squid for example. We ordered Yorkshire Pudding with gravy as an entree to share. Pudding was a good size for sharing. However when we cut it in half, the base was about 2cm thick and quite solid; not the light airy pudding we expected. It was also cold in the middle. I suspect a microwave was involved. For main course I had Cod & Chips with Mushy Peas. The cod was okay but a little dry. The batter was overlooked and very crispy, not like English batter at all. My friend had the pork roll with roast potatoes, apple sauce and crackling. The pork roll was like a thin foot long sub and was quite nice. The crackling was oversalted to the point of being inedible. We both left half of our meals. On a positive note, the staff were friendly and the service was good but we won't be returning due to quality of food."

"What a gem. We had a full vegan meal and it was SO delightful. The atmosphere is quiet but not too quiet, with the space being filled with music, quiet movement of staff and soft tones of other diners. Will absolutely be back."

"This is a very good restaurant in a great setting on the grounds at Newmans Nursery. We went for breakfast and it was brilliant. Everything was well presented freshly made and beautifully plated. The coffee just as it should be. There is some thought put into the coffee they serve here and how it comes to the table. This actually tastes great fresh beans and not burnt or overly bitter (European background so good coffee defines the day) The poached eggs were perfect and did not come out of a poaching bag! The beetroot hollandaise looks vibrant on the plate and tasted just right. Poppyseed scones made a great base for the eggs and the accompanying garnishes, wilted greens and other sides were as they should be perfectly fresh and tasty. The edible flowers and herbs were a beautiful touch and tasty too! The plate was generous and welcoming. Unfortunately i did not take a photo on this occasion as we were too busy enjoying our meals but we will be back!"

"We recently came with a group of friends to lunch on a beautiful autumn afternoon in the bridgewater inn. it is such a wonderful location with view of the stream and the atmosphere was great, with a band playing and many people enjoying the beautiful weather. I am coeliac, and had no problems to navigate here, there were many options to choose from, and my meal was fantastic. the service was also very good. if they are looking for a place to eat with great food and a beautiful environment in the adelaide hills, I would definitely recommend the bridgewater inn."
