"Stella 's is all about the warm, friendly ambiance. The first beer I ever had here was on the house, courtesy of Stella herself. She 's a larger than life, salt of the earth type with a heart of gold, and her place reflects her personality. If you remember 'Cheers ', then Stella 's will seem mighty familiar. The regular crowd includes artists, town council members, bankers, engineers, bikers, carpenters, plumbers, electricians in short, just about anyone you could name. They have a limited menu (popcorn and frozen pizza but the pizza is actually quite good especially considering it 's only $6), but there 's always a seat available for you except on weekends, when all the seats are filled, there 's still plenty of standing room. No pool tables or dart board. . . a few video games and the best jukebox around but still a great place to hang out, do some shots, and have some drinks and meet tons of great new friends!"

"We went to Lock and Mule in the summer and had a good experience. Food and beer were excellent. The server was knowledgeable with the beer and menu offerings. Our daughter was in town this weekend and decided to stop by on Friday. It turned out to be a poor experience. While waiting for a table we decided to head over to the bar for a drink. The girl bartender couldn't even give us suggestions on drink offerings. My wife ordered the espresso martini that looked like watered down coffee and tasted terrible. After waiting 35-40 minutes to be seated, we ordered our food. My wife asked for another drink to replace the espresso martini. It took forever to get the replacement. The server acknowledged that someone else grabbed her drink from the bar. We then waited in excess of 45 minutes for our food. While we were ready to walk out at this point, we decided to stick it out. My wife ordered the schnitzel and the breading was burnt, dry and overcooked. The fries that came with my French dip were cold and soggy, like they had been sitting there for awhile. Our daughter had the chicken pot pie, which she said was good. When it came time to get the bill, the server asked my wife if she wanted a box for leftovers. She didn't want to take home food that wasn't good in the first place. The server then asked if there was anything wrong with the schnitzel to which she explained it was overcooked and dry. He then said he was getting the manager. The manager came over and saw how the food was cooked. She apologized and noted this wasn't their standard. She then adjusted the bill, which was greatly appreciated. A few observations about this experience. It was a Saturday evening and they were busy. People were waiting and they weren't filling the empty tables. It appeared they didn't have enough help to properly serve all tables. The staff were running back and forth and not even talking to each other, as if they were all fairly new and not in a coordinated fashion. The food was not on par as it was from our first visit. We understand it's hard when you don't have enough staff and it clearly showed. Our server was doing his best covering his tables. The manager made things right by adjusting the bill for the problems. Since we had a good experience the first visit and a poor experience on the second visit, we will most likely give Lock and Mule another shot down the road."

"I have seen this place while driving past, but I assumed it was just ice cream because of the name. Then, I saw they had food too. Let me tell you, the food is wonderful, and the service was excellent. I had chilaquiles which were very flavorful and pleasantly spicy. So maybe if you think ketchup is spicy, don’t get that particular dish. The eggs were so good. The tacos tasted great, and we have higher standards of quality. The aguas frescas are great—I enjoyed the cucumber flavor. I have to go back and try the ice cream because that looked really good. 10/10Kid-friendliness: A cute little baby waved at us while we were there.Dietary restrictions: This place has a few options including ceviche for lent observers."

"This was a hidden gem in the suburbs. They have a great tasting menu (you choose the courses) and exceptional service. Free parking in the lot close by as well as street parking. We did the 7 course tasting which was excellent. However, a 5 course tasting is more than enough food. Honestly, each course was delicious but i thought the crisp shrimp was just ok. Highly recommend a drive over here, definitely on par with the Michelin star restaurants in Chicago but not overpriced."

"I personally thought the prices were a bit hi-until my sandwich arrived. It was huge and I thought ok this is worth $13. Unlike alot if other places where prices r similar but u could end up still hungry. Plus, the waitress was delightful and excellent at her job! Will definitely return. I'm told my family and friends that u really need to go for their breakfasts. Three of us enjoyed our lunches."
