As it has been for many years, Public Landing is my favorite restaurant. Our server was wonderful, drinks were perfect, the appetizer was delicious...but, our steaks were not up to par. What User doesn't like about Public Landing:
The food was prepared perfectly but the food was served cold the bread was presented at the end of the meal the dessert menu had to be asked for being that the menu was limited we were expecting a hot meal. We ordered a charred NY Strip steak, and it was full of gristle and very difficult to cut through, even with a steak knife! Once we got through the tough, outer part of the steak, the meat was fine. I expected better and was disappointed. My friend and I paid $40/each for the steak. Dessert was wonderful. We shared the caramel glazed bread pudding, and it was a winner. I'm not going to stop dining at P.L. but they should know about the poor quality of this particular steak.
The food was fabulous and our server Pam was fantastic! We will definitely go back.
