"The vegan maki menu is just the best. This isn’t just your standard cucumber roll. This is gourmet vegan sushi and it’s what dreams are made of!! It’s a bit pricey the way sushi can be but I recommend going for vegan sushi night (1/2 off vegan maki rolls) or during their all you can eat sushi hours and bring your appetite!"

"Vegan chili was very good. The beers well the cider was on par, crisp and fuity with clean finish. The porter coffee house style no lingering scorch, dark and robust. Wait staff was very attentive and super friendly . I will enjoy another visit here."

"Spencer is one of my favorite restaurants in Ann Arbor because of the delicious food and the unique atmosphere. The menu is constantly changing but everything I've eaten there has been really delicious. You can never go wrong with the cheese board! It is fantastic and the staff gives a great explanation of all the meats, cheeses, pickles, etc. The seating is communal so it can feel a bit squishy if you're not used to that sort of thing. You order at the counter, leaving open your tab so you can go back for more if you want, and then the food is delivered to your table. The only complaint I had was that the menu is rather vague and it can be difficult to flag someone down to explain dishes. You are also responsible for filling your water glass. This is not the place for someone who wants attentive, traditional service, but it certainly offers a wonderful meal and a lovely dining experience."
