Miura - Lomita

What an amazing experience. Real and delicious sushi. Your Grandmakase is certainly special and will not disappoint you. Probably my new favorite sushi restaurant in the world. The flavors, the quality and the amount is top notch. Will come back in a heartbeat to celebrate a special occasion. My only complaint is that the paprika could have better quality.

Nice, safer, omakase sushi course. Covers all typical selections well. Good cuts and excellent rice. Adequate selection of beer, Shochu. Not cheap, not crazy expensive. This is a traditional sushi bar, so do not expect mayo or hot sauce or fusion rolls. Nihon-teki ambience.

Absolutely fresh, excellent quality sushi. My Japanese man and I eat all over South Bay and were probably among almost any sushi place between Long Beach and Manhattan Beach, as well as countless places in Japan. In a Strip-Mall in Lomita you miss this place if you don't know to look for it. Make it a point to look for him and make reservations when you can, but they will try their best to fit you if you don't. The sushi is incredibly fresh and seasonal and dishes are prepared with care. Here are locals who know and appreciate real Japanese cuisine (Sushi). If you cannot decide about one thing and want to get an idea of how fresh and beautiful their sushi is, try the Chirashi. I'm looking forward to a makasesian food sometime as a treat, I'll update.

After reopening under the same name, new cook is fantastic. Much more friendly to the males and definitely to the challenge of keeping Miura's reputation high. I'm looking forward to many returns. Almost reluctant to post, but its efforts should be rewarded with a successful restaurant.
