Bengal Bertie was a nice surprise because although it was not busy, even though it was a saturday night the food was great. The Onion Bhajees were the best we had tasted for a long time and the menu had some different things which were unusual .Service was attentive though not pushy. The food at Bengal Bertie's in North Finchley was decent, but the restaurant is in urgent need of more staff. It took half an hour just to get our poppadoms and place the rest of our food order. The restaurant wasn't busy, with only 2 other tables occupied, but the continuous stream of takeaway calls kept the waiter occupied on the phone. It's a shame. View all feedback.
