Bengal Bertie was a nice surprise because although it was not busy, even though it was a saturday night the food was great. The Onion Bhajees were the best we had tasted for a long time and the menu had some different things which were unusual .Service was attentive though not pushy. All in all a great evening and we will return. read more.

The food was fine at Bengal Bertie's in North Finchley, but the restaurant desperately needs more staff it was half an hour in between getting our poppadoms and being able to order the rest of the food. They weren't busy in the restaurant itself there were only 2 other tables but the constant stream of takeaway calls meant the waiter was continually on the pone. A pity. read more.
