The restaurant aims to elevate the profile of sherry, a drink often associated with older generations. The atmosphere is cozy and Spanish-inspired, with wooden barrels and cured meat hanging around. The menu boasts a variety of strong flavors, with highlights including the Salmon Gravadlax and the pig cheeks with hazelnuts and mash. While the restaurant may not offer many vegetarian options, it does provide a unique experience for those looking to explore traditional Spanish cuisine and sherry pairings.
This is definitely a place to come if you think you've rounded off all tapas places in London. It's not cheap but not crazy expensive either, plus it's
We just had a fabulous meal at Drakes Tabanco for a family birthday celebration! We have lived and travelled in Spain for many years and thus meal compares
AMAZING! Drake's is my new favorite London restaurant The food was innovative and delicious.
Drakes Tabanco is a charming little sherry tapas joint, named after Sir Francis Drake, who accidentally kick-started Britain’s sherry industry after returning from his raid on Cadiz with butts of sherry contraband
Went there for team lunch on Thursday, place was almost empty. Did have someone from walking dead having lunch there too. Anyways back to food, there were not many veggie options. Falafels were not hard enough and vegan ceviche turned out to be a bowl of broccoli. Artisan sourdough was fantastic and so was the riesling we ordered. Expensive but good for team lunch.
