Absolutely loved our experience at Jamavar, one of our top all time dining experiences. Every single dish was exquisite (I particularly recommend the lobster nerulli and the sorbet dessert), service was very good (polite, informative, attentive). What GailM doesn't like about Jamavar:
Benares it certainly isn’t. Food was luke warm, plates were cold. No ambience. A screaming out of control child made the first 5 minutes unbearably noisy so much so that we very nearly walked out. The sewage smell in the basement level was unpleasant. We were not made to feel valued or special. Great ambience and good food and service but far too expensive for the quantity of food. Maybe they are cutting costs!
The service is good. The food is good but the reception and the people in the front door very rude.
