After having waited to go for so long, I was a bit disappointed with the food. It is all very good but pretty much aligned with every other Italian restaurant. Still a shame if it closes the atmosphere is great View all feedback.
What Zoe Bennett doesn't like about L'Amorosa:
L'Amorosa seems to have lost its way. The remarkable dishes of carefully prepared, extraordinary pasta have given way to big plates of everyday carbo fuel. The service is loud, careless and free/dull pudding does not compensate for any of this. View all feedback.
My first visit to l’Amorosa was so early that they had the old lola and simon sign above the door. the restaurant is now officially opened a few weeks and it gradually adopts its new identity. ex zafferano chef Koch andy needham works with only one kitchen assistant, cooking a somewhat simpler version of the Italian dishes he prepares for so many years in belgravia. <br/ <br/ the room is a two flat, seating up to 40 people in all, with another eight outside in good weather. the decoration is simple but tasteful with wooden floors and white walls, the lighting in the evening very low in the did standards. We had a wonderful dinner in l’amorosa. the place is cozy, the waiter are very friendly and polite and the atmosphere was relaxing and beautiful. Eating the main pasta dish (ox cheek ravioliis with a Chianti-based sauce) was so good we ordered it twice, but the real debris was the tiramisu, the honest was shocking bad (crusty pieces above, no real cocky at all). we will not think we will come back for that, but it kept me from giving him the 5 stars that would otherwise deserve it.
An absolutely fabulous dinner in l’amorosa at her opening night with my man. the service was friendly, attentive and fast, and eating is freshly cooked and absolutely delicious! my man is a smoky eater so he can clean the plate is a sign that eating is top notch. the menu is cheap and well cut. it is like a trip to Italy, but do not need to leave london and one of the unforgettable meals they want to leave to come back for more. they have run strict COVID-19 and they are also open for lunch, which is also great. will be coming back in any case!
L’amorosa, is a beautiful small local restaurant serving excellent dining. the service is excellent and the atmosphere is very relaxed. I will definitely return.
