A fantastic Gastro Pub with a wonderful atmosphere and amazing chef Cuisine is simply divine. Highly recommended and definitely recommended. Wonderful beer from Ritchie Brewers in Wiltshire, UK View all feedback.
Went to celebrate my friend's birthday, the staff is super welcoming and sweet, we tried a variety of dishes and they were all top notch including coffee and dessert, the atmosphere is lovely...only issue we have called upfront to amend the booking for more people to surprise my friend and were assured she wouldn't be notified about the change. Unfortunately she was and it spoilt a well planned bday surprise for her. Easy mistake to make but surely was a bit of a disappointment
A really great pub experience in London, which I always find a little difficult to find more centrally in town. It’s got a cool, classic feel to it adorned throughout with classic photos, paintings and wood finishing. The prices for drinks are a little higher owing to the pub serving their own brewed beers; but that likely helps maintain their more sophisticated crowd which was an added bonus. The session IPA is great and my wife really enjoyed the vast gins on offer. Will most definitely be returning!
The lower level of the restaurant is a cozy pub, while the upper level is a top-notch gastro pub. I was fortunate to have gotten a seat at the chef's counter during lunch. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming.
Warren Street £6.50 Angel Lore Craft Lager Guy Ritchies upmarket Gastropub. . Nested in a quiet street in Fitzrovia you’ll find The Lore of the Land. This pub sits in the shadow of the BT tower and just a five minute walk from Warren Street tube. Just at the end of the street is Fitzroy square gardens which is a lovely place to have a stroll around. . This Georgian building dates back to the late 1700’s and began life as a pub in 1829. No expense has been spared on the decor here, you definitely get the feeling you are somewhere posh. As you enter the bar the splendid servery is on the right hand side. At the front of the bar are poser tables which is where I sat, at the back there are a number of tables, chairs and benches. Around the rich green walls there are a number of pictures/paintings depicting people and scenes of the past. There is an upstairs dining room complete with a dining counter overlooking the kitchen. . The beer choice was something different and was predominantly beers from Guy Ritchies Wiltshire brewery @gritchiebrew . There were a number of Pale Ales, IPA’s and luckily for me a lager which wasn’t bad at all. When it comes to the food, things go up a notch, the menu is small but perfectly formed. The diverse seasonal menu consists of snacks, small plates and mains. A big favourite here are the Sunday roasts, the dry aged beef ribeye will set you back £29 which although is expensive the reviews speak for themselves, the food here is outstanding! . I visited mid afternoon on a Tuesday and there were a few punters in and the atmosphere was chilled. It did liven up before I left as a large group walked in as I walked out, I have that effect on people . The staff here are very professional, pleasant and well presented. This pub is suitable for whatever your occasion is. . On this visit I was here for beer and not for the deer so can only feedback on my drinking experience. I thought the @loreofthelandpub was excellent and gives you lots of good pub vibes. At this posh pub they have found the right balance to cater for both drinkers and diners alike so you feel comfortable whatever the purpose of your visit. I’m a big fan of @guyritchie films and now a big fan of this pub. . Information correct on visiting 06/09/22
I have been wanting to visit this restaurant for a while and finally brought a client here for a business lunch. Mr. Ritchie, you exceeded my expectations. The staff were amazing, the food was fantastic, and compliments to your chef. I thoroughly enjoyed my pint of Gritchie and my Mary cocktail was perfect as well. I am planning to return next week with more clients because the atmosphere and decor are top-notch. I also appreciated the reference to man's best friend at the entrance and even got to sit in Mr. Beckham's chair. Lore of the Land is simply brilliant.
