mazi is a wonderful Greek restaurant around notting hill that is perfect for a refreshing eating on the sporadic sundays that we can have in london (or even if there is no sunshine) if the weather allows, there is a beautiful outdoor area where they can enjoy eating al fresco. if not, the inner of mazi is as beautiful with its whitewashed walls! We were walk-ins and they squeezed us in for an hour which meant we had no time for dessert.
This is a special restaurant, no two ways about it.
Amazing food Enjoyed the ambience, service and delicious food! Loved the jars, and the best Greek salad I have ever been served.

London is full of Greek cuisine, but mazi has been my favorite for some time. inspired by the ancient Greeks, this charming restaurant brings together classic dishes that are distributed for generations and a contemporary flair for presentation and style. the whole concept of mazi revolves around the fact that their dishes are to be shared by everyone in the table, which was perfect for my friend and I. when we arrived, we were greeted by our friendly server, who was more than happy to explain the menu. we started with perfectly grilled aubergine, with a hauch of soy and thymian honey and an authentic tzatziki with only one prise garlic that were uniquely presented in rustic glass. we also shared a hot plate of feta tempura, served with lemon jam and caper meringue. I loved the mix of creamy feta with the crispy teig, and the skill of the lemon and sweet of the caper were on the place. for one of the main things we had grilled otopus, which was tasty and perfectly charred, and the criminal potato salat and olivenhain were the perfect companions. my absolute favourite part was the Greek desserts we shared, but I was more than satisfied to eat them all. the galactoboureko was delicious, the custard creamy and the teig light and flocky, with a hauch of sweet sirup. we also enjoyed frozen Greek yogurt, with candied quitten and a zimt haferkrüppel. yum! mazi is the best modern representation of the Greek cuisine in london, and the service and the staff were excellent and courteous. I loved the way and wise how the food was presented, which really tied the rustic mood of the restaurant decor in the food. I recommend mazi for anyone who wants to flee to Greece through his taste buds!
