I love this pub, compared to the over priced Albert and now cheap old black horse, it’s top in the area! My only gripe is every time I’m here, staff seem to be too busy in the corner behind the main bar, nothing worse than waiting whilst they chit chat and show videos on their phones to each other! Well the bar staff are slow to arrive at the bar to serve, and the music is terrible and a little on the loud side. The beer selection is ok and it looks like they do good business with the pizzas. The service overall was nice, although I would have liked more details and information about the dishes and the inspiration of them from the waiters. The rhythm of the food felt also slightly too fast for my preference, and I didn't always have time to pick the drink for the next dishes because of that, especially if I didn't like the first choice proposed by the sommelier.
