"The restaurant was empty when we arrived for our reservation. we were not visited as fast as it should be. another table did not sit too long after us and was served immediately. if a restaurant is as empty as this with plentiful staff, the service should have been much better. our plates were not deleted or changed after each cure. we had to ask. with food, this stinging and tasteful, plate change should be given. we had to ask for water again and again. there was a very Kursian explanation of each plate, and the recitations were hurried and red. the courts were so unusual, it would have been nice if the server acted as if they were taking care of them. when chef sully appeared, we were very excited to have the opportunity to talk to him. he spoke with the staff, then held at the only other table in the restaurant. from any reason he did not come to our table. we really wanted to meet him, so I asked if he was still there and was told by a worker that he was just outside. actually it wasn't. concerning eating, it was raised. the careful in the creation of each teller and each plate was obvious. the beef races were really excellent, accompanied by the pancetta tomaten ragu and a tasteful oyster mushroom mayo foam. my favorite was the gurkensalat, which was decorated with mango, cocosnus and buttery sunflower seeds. wow! my only culinary complaint is that every dish with oyster mushrooms was much too salted and many dishes contained them. also the lamb shell was prepared with lamb, which consisted only of gristle and fat. they were serious."

"This entire meal and experience was excellent. The restaurant itself is a tasteful and intimate spot with attentive, friendly and knowledgeable staff. The tasting menu we had was extremely delicious, well executed and rich. It was so nice to have French cuisine as a vegan as it’s been so long. The refine meat they use is honestly the closest thing to lamb I have ever tried and had it been at any other restaurant I would have been concerned they gave me real meat. Obviously it’s not cheap but for a special night out this is really an excellent choice!! The cocktails were a big hit too!"

"It’s impossible to overstate what Clare Smyth has accomplished Core is absolutely exquisite. The moment we walked into the door, we received a warm friendly greeting from all the staff including chefs in the kitchen. The ambience was relaxing and pleasant. The food and drinks what can I say? Every dish was memorable, unique, exciting, thoughtfully plated the theatre added a wow factor. A magical experience beyond my wildest expectations. Compliments to the Chef and the entire team extraordinary."

"A cute restaurant serving great food. Everything we ordered off the lunch set menu was delicious with beautiful plating and satisfying portions. The burrata in particular was a standout item. From a mocktail we ordered it seems that they have a great mixologist in house too. Service could be a bit warmer and more attentive though while taking our orders they were careful on asking about allergies. Cutlery is very worn and badly scratched, a mismatch with the overall ambience of the restaurant. There was also a dirty crusted knife on our place setting which we had to alert the wait staff on."

"With our wedding anniversary in mid January dining out somewhere special gives us something to look forward to after Christmas. This year we chanced upon Frog so decided to make a reservation for lunch. Well, it really was special. The tasting menu was superb and we’ve had many over the years) Each course was a delight. The portions were ‘just right’ and the pacing likewise. Being our anniversary we naturally chose the wine pairing. This starts with champagne so perhaps we didn’t need to have the champagne aperitif . Still, it was nice! We chose the classic wine pairing which at £135 was,we felt, about right. The wines were well chosen and complimented the dishes. The sommelier was excellent, knowledgeable, informative and we think she will do well in her career. The ambience and service was relaxed, but with the right degree of attentiveness. Would we go again? Yes so here’s to our birthday present to ourselves in the summer"
